Email privacy and protection using Blind Carbon Copy (Bcc)
When sending an email to a number of people, avoid listing them in the "to:" or "cc:" field otherwise all recipients will receive each other's private email address. Also, circulating email addresses like this is wonderful for spammers and potential virus attacks! To protect your recipients’ email addresses use the Bcc: field instead.  This works just like the Carbon Copy (cc:) field, except that the email addresses are not forwarded to each recipient. See Instructions for using Bcc for Outlook Express, AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail etc.

Report bogus bank emails banksafeonline.org.uk - This is the place to report/forward bogus emails that pose as banks and attempt to trick you into handing over your bank account details and passwords (this is called 'phishing'). The email address is reports@banksafeonline.org.uk - just drag and drop a suspect email onto the "attachments" field of this email and entitle the email subject 'Reporting a scam'.
