Passed away 22nd December 06, aged 81
So very sadly missed

Shortly before leaving Italy for England

 

Angel Mother Mine
    

Pretty dresses you made for me
No one saw the poverty
Trouble and toil to make ends meet
Tears from worry, so browbeat.

Despite the obstacles in your way
You gave me love and care each day
A love none other could compare
Knowing you were always there.

I meant the world to you, my mum
From my birth till your days were done
If I could have just one more year
I’d give you so much love and cheer.

I’d take you to your Italy
To see your long lost family
I’d fill your heart with happiness
Erase your fears and loneliness.

Upon your deathbed I stroked your brow
And held your hand and told you how
 I always loved you, forever true
I hope you heard my words to you.

I pray you heard me pour my heart
Our loving bond will never part
My loyalty will remain
Because I always felt your pain.

Be at peace, my mother dear
No need now to ever fear
Know you always did your best
With your Lord you are truly blessed.
